Project Details
This piece really highlights Ray’s commitment to a good joke. This entire project was created to prank his buddy when they found a dead squirrel in his Boss 302 Mustang. He had this printed on a ton of stickers and hid them all over his friends property. He’s probably still finding those stickers. And of course, Ray wanted this piece gallery wrapped for his own hangar. XD

Process
Created entirely in vector, I started out with a simple sketch of the bomb and then posed the squirrel sitting on it. After the base colors and gradients I added the extra details. I then created a background that would fit a 2″ deep gallery wrap. The two rows of rivets wrapped around each side beautifully!
Reflection
Projects like this were why I loved Ray Hofman! He always went BIG when he wanted to do something. Subtlety just wasn’t in that man’s nature! 😀
Side note
I realize my last name is on the squirrel’s shorts, but that was just coincidence. The man being pranked just happen to have the same last name and spell it the same crazy way!
