Project Details
I was asked to illustrate a chameleon for a car hauler. It need to be vector so it could be printed to span across the sides of his trailer.

Process
Drew out a rough sketch in pencil and scanned it in. Then used illustrator’s brush tool to vary the line weight to make it more interesting. After laying down the base colors, I used the pen tool to add accent colors and details.
Reflection
This was the first large-scale project I had been presented with at the time. I learned quite a lot from this one. If I could go back and redo this, I think I would have spent more time on the face. It just looks too rushed. That’s part of the learning process, though, sometimes.
